“Tiss-Tiss is a fusion of extremes. Metal and fabric, East and West, radical and traditional, each aspect is revaluated through its juxtaposition with the other. Our relationship with the world is mutually defining, but Tiss-Tiss taps into a shared collective consciousness, combining human and natural forces into one.”

Tiss-Tiss collection is constructed from aluminium components sand-cast in a relief of linen fabric, with the loose weave of individual threads held in uncharacteristically rigid formations. Influenced by the Buddhist philosophy of Impermanence and the artwork of Japanese textile master Keisuke Serizawa, Tiss-Tiss captures a moment in time of complete serenity, the fusion of metal and fabric acting to preserve an instant of stillness from fluidity.
